Camera phones are such a convenience these days with the freedom to take pictures on the move. Your mobile phone camera might as well be the new Swiss Army Knife. We’ve rounded up so many alternate uses for your camera that you’ll soon be bringing it everywhere! Use it as a memory aid, a mirror, or to record license plate numbers or accidents and you’ll never let it leave your side again.
Use it as a scanner: scan documents, images or business cards with your camera phone. It’s also a great way to make back up copies of receipts of important documents wherever you go.
Use it to record important stuff: Use your camera to snap images of signs/ notices. Forgot where you parked your car at the mall/airport? Use your camera to remember the parking lot section sign, or any other landmarks nearby and you’ll never search the parking garage ever again .
Before heading out to buy ingredients for a project or recipe, take a picture of the ingredient list. Zoom in on the camera’s screen to be able to see each item on the list.
Chances of you carrying a camera phone are greater than you carrying a pen and paper in a bag full of stuff. Save yourself the hassle and snap a picture of that phone number when you’re house hunting, or when you see a circular you don’t want to forget. It’s called photo memory for a reason!
Use it as a flash light: Dropped your car keys in a dimly lit street? Use the flash or focusing light on your camera to help you see better. Let the monitor on your camera help you see into places you can’t quite reach.
Use it as a GPS device: until you get around to buying a GPS device or a navigator phone, your camera can be a substitute. Use your phone camera to snap a photo of map/address which you are searching for online.
Use it to blog: Camera phones let you mobile blog (moblogging) with both pictures and text. To use moblogging with your camera phone you need to set up a blog at MSN Spaces, and then set up e-mail publishing from your mobile phone.
If you don’t have a camera phone, now is the time to upgrade to one. Make sure the camera is at least one megapixel with flash. The applications that are possible with camera phones are endless. As technology advances with higher resolution cameras and expanded storage capabilities, Will camera phones replace digital cameras?
